Andhra Pradesh shares its borders with the Indian states of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Orissa to the north, Tamil Nadu to the south, Karnataka to the west and the Bay of Bengal to the east. - Air: Andhra Pradesh has many airports with international airport in Hyderabad, and domestic airports at cities like Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Secunderabad, Warangal, Vijayawada, etc.
- Rail:The state has a railway route of approximately 5,085 kilometer, of which 4,362 km is broad gauge, 686 km is meter gauge and mere 37 km is narrow gauge.
- Road: The state has a well laid-out network of national highways and state highways passing through its expanse.

- Summer remains here from March to June, with highest temperature at 40�C.
- Monsoon reaches Andhra Pradesh in July and stays till October, with temperature remaining above 16�C.
- Winter months from October to March are the best time to visit Andhra Pradesh, when the weather remains pleasant unlike the state�s summer that remains hot and humid.
Major Attractions in Andhra Pradesh
Visakhapatnam: Vishakapatnam or Vizag Kailasagiri or Valtair, in the lap of the Bay of Bengal, on the eastern part of Andhra Pradesh, offers breathtaking panorama of golden beaches, green fields, valleys and monuments.
Secunderabad and Hyderabad: These are twin cities in Andhra Pradesh, and also are popular tourist attractions in South India. Hyderabad is well known for its historic forts including the famous Charminar and monuments and Secunderabad is popular for its culture, lakes and parks.
East Godavari and West Godavari: Both are well-irrigated districts in Andhra Pradesh because of the river Godavari. East Godavari and West Godavari are famous for having 4 temples (2 each) each out of the five Pancharama temples with historical stories. The remaining one temple is in Guntur.
Warangal District: Warangal District holds some important tourist places as Bhadrakali Temple, Govindarajula Gutta, Kakatiya Musical and Rock Gardens, Padmaskhi Temple, Pakhal Lake, Ramappa Temple and Lake, 3rd century Siddeshwara Temple, Thousand Pillared Temple and Warangal Fort.
